I stand at the crossroad,
the sea in front
the unknown in back.

Eyes closed,
back to the unknown I wait.

Death is not silent, nor is she nimble.

She is like a train roaring down the tracks untethered.
She is a thundering mass of debris that I know
closes in behind me.

"Let them find me."

I can feel the pressure in my ears,
taste the ash in my mouth, I am prepared.

There was a time when we were worthy of Trust and Confidence; what are we worthy of now?

You hear the stories of the faceless torturers, the nameless victims.
Are they us?

We sit and do computations for duty and fees. Who does the computations for our Duty?

When does the collecting of duty become the thirty pieces of silver?

Who do we owe allegiance? Who do we tip our hat to? Who do we emulat

I find myself in a field, alone.

Alone with the dead.

The dead are not as dead as they seem,
they have a hidden knowledge.

They know the answer, and for that they grin,
sometimes they stare, but mostly
they grin.

I have to take them somewhere, help move them along.

"There is no room in the Inn."

I move into an office I know,
my co-workers greet me.

Dead grins on ashen faces, I work along side
the innocent sent to slaughter.

I move outside.
The air is stale, dead.

I go to the task at hand.

Eve online has some of the best space graphics.
Would make a fine wallpaper if it was bigger (1024x768).

I agree. The graphics are amazing, it is hard to remember that it is ONLY a game when it looks so realistic.
